Position: Migration Solution Specialist (UN*X) – Pre-Sales Systems

Job Responsibilities

The Solution Migration Specialist (UNIX to Linux) will be responsible for engaging early in the sales cycle to understand clients IT portfolio, business drivers and requirements as related to the specifics of UNIX to Linux migration. The lead will conceptualize compelling roadmaps, frameworks and solutions for successful execution of migrations while balancing the needs of sales and delivery. The lead is responsible executing the project remotely by leading the engineering team in India and work with our marketing team and customers in the US.

Project Management: Coordinate with partner, customer and remote engineering team in India to ensure successful completion.

Sales Outreach: Engage with reseller partners to develop interest in solutions, support demand generation webinars and seminars.

Required Skills:

Work history/roles

7-10 years of hands-on technical expertise and track record on IT infrastructure related products and technologies
Capable of Planning, Designing, Architecting, and Delivering and Closing large Application migration and modernization engagements
Expertise in migration assessments, requirements gathering & analysis
Experience in software application sizing and capacity planning is a MUST
Working experience of Oracle data base migration “application migration” on UNIX to Linux platforms
Expertise with functional and performance application testing (e.g., performance testing, load and stress testing, cluster testing, etc.,)
Sales or pre-sales experience including authoring well-designed RFP/RFI responses

Technical skills

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent presentation skills
Ability to write and communicate clearly and effectively
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to travel up to 50% US/Canada
Experience working with global delivery teams including onsite/offshore teams
Wants to work individually, but as part of a virtual team
Self-starter/pro-active

Compensation: Negotiable salary plus commission

Job Location: Anywhere in USA - East Coast Preferred

This job requires frequent travel to customer sites in US during pre-sales and deployment phase.
